ReCore has been out for a little over a week now and the main issue with the game are loading times.
As mentioned in our review, and you probably lived it if you have played the game, ReCore takes quite a while to load sometimes. As a matter of a fact, certain larger areas can take up to two whole minutes to load. This, naturally, brings frustration to the players. Critics bashed the game for that.
Instead of leaving it as is, a new patch is being worked on as we speak. Set for release a little later this week, the patch in question is said to lower loading times. On the game’s official website, it was mentioned that even after the patch, it “may continue to take more time than expected” to load certain areas. This isn’t looking as good as we though!
“We want you to know that we’ve been listening closely, and the number one thing you’ve mentioned you’d like to see improvements on is load times,” read the post. “We heard you, we appreciate your patience.”
The announcement calmed down a few, but others, including myself, remain skeptical about the entire thing. If a game takes so long to load, why even release it? The game clearly wasn’t ready. Having such a long loading time was definitely going to hurt the game and the developer’s reputation. The question now is, can they fix the issue and attract many more players?
In our, ReCore was said to have great encounters and engaging combat. The loading was the major turning point, alongside the annoying camera angles and overall polishing. However, the game isn’t all that bad.
