During the Ubisoft press conference, the company announced quite a few cool titles here and there; they even invited huge names to go up on stage as well.
From Eagle Flight VR to Watch Dogs 2, the conference covered pretty much what fans were expecting to see, with maybe a few little surprises. However, one acclaimed title had yet to be showcased, Beyond Good & Evil 2!
Is the game in development? Did Ubisoft canned the project? Is someone else going to unveil it? There were a lot of questions on the matter, but no answers at the moment. When the show floor opened its doors, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot was invited for a YouTube Live E3 interview, where a little light was shed.
“It’s still on the way,” said Guillemot on YouTube Live. “It’s something at one point you will see, yes.” That being said, it doesn’t seem like Beyond Good & Evil 2 will be ready any time soon though – it will take a while.
“Michel [Ancel] is working on it, but he’s doing two games at the same time, he’s doing Wild at the same time. It’s coming along, but he has to spend more time on it so we can see it faster,” he added.
We don’t know for sure when we should be expecting the game, but we believe that if all goes well, we should have something by 2018-2019. Of course, this information is based off of analyse only – nothing was confirmed by the developer yet.
Beyond Good & Evil 2 was initially unveiled in 2008 by Ubisoft, but from that moment, there were no details or update on its development.
