Monster Hunter had done wonders all through the lifetime of the Nintendo 3DS. A total of three games have been released internationally on the platform including Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Monster 4 Ultimate and Monster Hunter Generations. It is interesting to note that the last one was named Monster Hunter X in Japan. If this game is going to be released internationally, there is a high probability that it will be under a different title. Maybe it will be named Monster Hunter Generations X (We finally get the X).
Until we hear word of global release, it is safer to assume that this is a Japan-only title for the time being. OF course, Capcom should not lose the opportunity to start building the Monster Hunter love on the Nintendo Switch. With Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, the company had made a version for both 3DS and Wii U where players could transfer saves to enjoy the game on the big screen and on the go. With the Switch, that is no longer a choice that needs to be made. Come on Capcom, do the right thing! Until then, we will be waiting.
