Square Enix Reveals Life is Strange
In a press release published yesterday by Square Enix, the publisher and development studio DONTNOD revealed a new IP they have been working on called Life is Strange. Unlike DONTNOD's latest title, Remember Me, Lie is Strange will be release digitally through episodic chapters for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4 and PC.
“Everybody at DONTNOD is excited to be working on such a refreshing title,” said DONTNOD Entertainment Creative Director Jean-Max Moris. “We’re not only crafting the best game we possibly can, we also feel we’re providing the type of experience that perfectly fits today’s renewed taste for originality and diversity”.
“When we first saw LIFE IS STRANGE we immediately realised that DONTNOD have created a unique experience, something special," added Square Enix Europe VP of Brand and European Marketing Jon Brooke. “Everyone who’s seen the game has instantly fallen in love with its distinctive style and mood”.
Life is Strange stars Max Caulfield, a high school senior that discovers she has the power to rewind time. After noticing the disappearance of Rachel Amber, her classmate, she embarks on a journey to discover the truth behind this mystery.
"Thus begins the story for a game that everyone here at Square Enix has fallen in love with," reads Square Enix's blog. "I know I've mentioned this before, but Life is Strange is something entirely different …. Each and every texture in Life is Strange is a hand drawn work of art and every action enacts a butterfly effect – but with the power to rewind time, what would you change? And would it turn out to be a change for the better or worse?"
Details fail to mention the game's release, so stay tuned for further updates about Life is Strange.
