Star Wars Battlefront II Makes Last Minute Changes

Star Wars Battlefront II is near its gold status and following an extensive beta period, EA decided to make last minute changes to the game.

The Star Wars Battlefront II beta has been a good learning opportunity for Electronic Arts. Following player’s feedback, the company decided to make changes that affect mainly the crates and progression system. In order to balance the game out, the beta was put into place while granting players access to all of the available systems.

“A few week ago, we mentioned we were going to take another look at how the progression system works…” – EA

After extensive study of said feedback from the players, EA is proud and happy to share the new changes that will take place and be ready for launch:

  • Epic Star Cards, which are the highest tier of Star Cards available in Star Wars Battlefront II at launch, are no longer available from Crates.
  • In order to craft Star Cards, you will need to reach a certain rank.
  • Certain weapons are available from the get-go. However, a lot of the weapons must be unlocked first by achieving a specific milestone.
  • Playing with class-specific gear and items can be unlocked simply by playing with them.

EA announced in their press release that they plan on continuously keep an eye on player feedback. The idea is to use that information as a tool to fine-tune and improve the system altogether. EA reminds everyone that they will continue listening to the community, and that includes releasing post-launch content free of charge. They are “going to make sure that the game is fun for everyone.”

The changes aforementioned are to be applied for the multiplayer mode. Meanwhile, there are no news about any actual modifications to the campaign.

Star Wars Battlefront II is scheduled for launch on November 7th, 2017. We are expecting to see a lot of microtransactions, now how that will fair to players…we shall see in due time,
