Pokémon TCG – Evolutions: Pikachu, Charizard and Professor Oak Reprints

Today, we find the very first cards that should be appearing in the last XY expansion in the Pokémon TCG: Evolutions. Prepare for nostalgia hits! The very first cards from Evolutions may have surfaced. On PokéBeach, we find Pikachu, Charizard and the new Professor Oak cards reprinted with new elements to compete with today’s TCG standards. Charizard and Pikachu have seen their HP changed and some attacks have been altered as well. The Oak card is now named “Professor Oak’s Hint” and it features the exact same art as the original Base Set card.

To compare them, see the different between the original Base Set versions and the Evolutions reprints. Here they are:

The Pokémon Company has also released a new website to celebrate the 20th anniversary year in Japan. This shows cards from the Base Set, Jungle, Fossil, Team Rocket, Gym Heroes and Gym Challenge sets. They also feature cards from the Vending sets which never made it here in the West. Indeed, this website is made to celebrate the original release of the Base Set in Japan which was on October 20th.
