Hitman To Be A Beta This February
The highlighted upcoming Hitman title is scheduled to have a beta up this February, a month prior to the game’s official release date.
In a recent post issued by publisher Square Enix, the company announced that Hitman, their upcoming game, will be getting a beta starting February, 2016. Intriguingly, instead of featuring a gameplay demo extracted from the end title, the publisher announced that players will have access to an Agent 47 origin story. Where does he come from? Who is he? How was he recruited?
“Play the beginning,” says Square Enix. “The HITMAN Beta is set twenty years in the past at a top-secret ICA recruitment and training facility. This extremely unique mission revolves around how Agent 47 was recruited into the ICA and shows the first time that 47 meets his long-time handler, Diana Burnwood.”
In order to gain access to the beta, Square Enix mentioned that you must (or must have) per-purchased Hitman on either PC or PS4. It is unfortunate, but there will be no Xbox One beta scheduled. Also, it is important to clarify that the PlayStation 4 beta will release on February 12th, while PC users will have to wait until the 19th.
Unlike traditional games, Square Enix plans on releasing two different ways for purchasing Hitman. First and foremost, you can buy the complete version for $60 which gives you access to a full year’s worth of content. The other way is to purchase the Intro Pack for $35, which also includes access to the March content. If you enjoy the game, you can then upgrade to the complete game by paying $30 at a later date.
