Doomsday is shortly upon us! Will you take the “Stairway to Heaven” or will you fight on the “Highway to Hell“. Get ready for a fiery battle

Announced today by Bethesda Softworks, a ZeniMax Media company, the FPS game DOOM will be launched worldwide on Friday, May 13, 2016 on multiple platforms such as Xbox One, PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system, and PC. This emblematic game that has defined its genre and is also considered to be one the most influential games ever created, is about to make its return with a more ferociously entertaining and imposing modern-day shooter experience.

DOOM is still being developed at id Software, the studio that begun the first-person shooter trend and also invented multiplayer Deathmatch. Rancorous demons, impossible destructive guns, and rapid, flowing movement are their key ingredients for the creation of a greatly intense first-person combat – whether you find yourself in the depths of Hell annihilating waves upon waves of demon hordes in the single-player campaign, or, on a more competitive side, going against your friends in several multiplayer modes.

Here is the trailer for DOOM:

For a better gameplay experience, use DOOM SnapMap game editor in order to easily create, play, and share your content worldwide. The more the merrier!  On a special note DOOM  has cumulated plentiful E3 2015 awards and in a recent preview by Game Informer, its gameplay was described as “an absolute blast.”

In addition, Bethesda also disclosed future plans to release a Premium Collector’s Edition of DOOM that will be obtainable worldwide through participating retailers. The limited DOOM collector’s edition, created with the partnership of TriForce, contains a unique, fully-realized 12″ tall collector’s statue of one of DOOM’s most symbolic demons: the Revenant. It is quite striking in appearance and  stands on an LED-lit base with internal, slow-spinning turbine from the UAC facility on Mars. The collector’s edition also accommodates its customers with a copy of the game exclusively packed in a battle-worthy metal case.

The DOOM collector’s edition is available for pre-order through participating retailers and is priced at $119.99 (US), €129.99 (Europe), and £99.99 (UK). The Demon Multiplayer Pack will only be obtainable for those who pre-orders the DOOM collector’s edition or the standard edition. This pack contains a unique demon armor set with a bundle of three skin variations, six metallic paint colors and three id logo patterns that you will be able to apply unto weapons and armor, plus an extra set of six Hack Modules. What are those you may wonder? – They are a  one-time consumable items giving players an helpful boost and edge in a multiplayer match.
