Cloud9 Sign Top OverWatch Team

The North American team have signed one of the top Overwatch competitive team in ‘’google me’’. It was announced on the Cloud9 website on Wednesday.

Here is what the organization had to say in the announcement:

‘’We at Cloud9 are excited to announce the acquisition of top North American Overwatch team ‘google me’. Currently ranked #2 globally and #1 in the North American region according to GosuGamers, the ‘google me’ roster put together an impressive string of first and second place finishes in the following events in the last month of Overwatch closed beta:’’

  • One Hit Club Weekly #1
  • GosuGamers Overwatch NA Weekly #4
  • One Hit Club Weekly #2
  • GosuGamers Overwatch NA Weekly #5
  • GosuGamers Overwatch NA Weekly #6

The roster for the team will consist of:

  • Kyle “KyKy” Souder
  • Greg “Grego” McAllen
  • Lane “Surefour” Roberts
  • Adam “Adam” Eckel
  • Derrick “reaver” Nowicki
  • Kevin “deBett” deBettencourt

The new team for Cloud9 has been on a tear recently, winning 10 of the last 12 tournaments they have participated in, only dropping games against the top European team IDDQD and North American team Envyus.

Overwatch is still in its closed BETA at the moment, so other big organizations still have time if they wish to grab top teams off the market.

The full release of the game is expected to be on May 24th 2016.
