Bungie Presidents Steps Down

It is sad to announce to all of you that Bungie president Harold Ryan decided to step down from his important position earlier today.

As a matter of a fact, the announcement doesn’t even come from Ryan, but from Pete Parsons, the newly appointed CEO of the company. For those of you who are unaware of their service time, Ryan joined Bungie in 2000, while Parsons followed later, in 2002, as executive producer and chief of operating officer.

Unfortunately, Ryan doesn’t have any comments, but instead, Parsons has prepared an official statement from the company:

“I want to personally thank Harold for his friendship, passion, hard work, and dedication in helping make Bungie the great company it is today,” said Parsons. “As a team, we celebrated many victories and weathered many storms.”

“To the players of Destiny, I want you to know that my number one priority, and Bungie’s, is and always has been to deliver great games that we can all share together. I believe that Destiny is a one-of-a-kind experience. I also believe you have yet to see our studio’s best work. My new role here at the studio will be entirely focused on fulfilling that promise.”

Details fail to mention any real reason behind Ryan’s sudden departure from the company, which opens the door to many allegations and rumors. We urge you to be cautious and not believe anything that isn’t supported by either Bungie or Harold Ryan himself.

At the moment, Bungie’s focus is currently on Destiny. With around 10-years worth of content planned, the developer has no choice but to have a dedicated team for the game. However, when it comes down to future project of the company, we are unaware of what is going on. Maybe we will learn about something new over the next few months, as we get closer to E3 2016!
