Super Smash Bros for Nintendo Switch Revealed With New Fighter?

It seems we will not be too far off for getting a port of Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo Switch. Today, news has surfaced about the new version as well as a possible new face to be added in the game. Indeed, Supoer Smash Bros. is definitely a great title for any Nintendo library and is always one of the best-selling games on each respective platform. Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is still wildly popular in both competitive eSports as well as casual gaming. It is but one of the few games that truly helped the Wii U grow in sales. However, the transition onto a new platform could alienate that community and so, a port for the Nintendo Switch is no doubt a smart move. A report has surfaced online that said port may be in development and should be coming sooner than we thought.

Thanks to Reddit user, LightsaberCrayon, has collected evidence and presented his findings regarding this possible release. According to his report, the game is supposedly slotted in for a Fall release and that is not all. On Nintendo’s official website, there are CPSIA certificates with product numbers showing off what is the upcoming product line for Amiibo figures.

Of course, we all know we have yet to see a Cloud, Bayonetta and Corrin Amiibo to be announced. No doubt, Nintendo surely has something planned for that, but that is the only curious element. Along these three figures, there is an un-described fourth Amiibo that is slotted in for the Smash Bros. line. Could this be the foreshadowing of a new Nintendo Switch-exclusive character?

It is important to note that the mysterious Amiibo shares the Super Smash Amiibo line coding (AA) and not the Zelda Breath of the Wild (AK) nor the Fire Emblem one (AQ). This means that there is going to be a Fire Emblem Amiibo line incoming as well. For now, we can only speculate who this character could be. Since this is a new version that does not have to be tied to the 3DS or Wii U versions, could they finally bring back the nostalgic Ice Climbers? They do deserve to return to the Battlefield, don’t you think?
