New DOOM Movie Confirmed In Production

It seems DOOM is trying it again in the movie business. It’s always very intriguing to see if a video game movie is going to flop or actually give the cinematic experience we never thought we needed all along. Today, on Twitter, it was revealed that there is indeed a new DOOM movie in the works. This was confirmed by the movie’s main actress, Nina Bergman. The Danish actress took it online to reveal her next plans and it seems she just signed papers with Universal Studios to be a part of this film in the making.

Universal hasn’t made any announcements yet regarding this news. If it is indeed happening, it would be the second DOOM to take place since 2005. The movie was starred by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, for those of you who did not know. It was a disappointment to say the least, but of course, video game films have greatly improved since those “cringy” days. It would be quite a surprise if this one actually pulls off a film that represents the essence of the DOOM franchise, specifically the latest one.

The latest DOOM game has been a great success and it’s no doubt one of the greater titles to properly offer an action-packed first-person shooter. I wonder if they are going to pull off the same first-person view shenanigan they did in the first movie.
