Lords of the Fallen – Complete Edition Now Available
Lords of the Fallen, Deck13 and CI Game’s take on action-adventure games, didn’t get the praise it deserved. In a time where everyone was worshipping Dark Souls and all it had given to the world, even a solid title like this one was easily overshadowed.
That said, many fans of the genre will tell you that the game stands on its own as a compelling, if somewhat easy, interpretation of the genre. If you haven’t had the chance to make your own opinion about the game, the studios have just released Lords of the Fallen – Complete Edition for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The Ultimate Package
The demonic Rhogar army re-emerges in a world now dominated by a justice-obsessed humanity, and you play as the only man capable of stopping it. Stepping into the shoes of the unlikely hero and criminal convict Harkyn, the player must navigate an interconnected world in search of answers. The game is actually quite challenging and revolves around three key skills: Speed, Force and agility. How you invest your points into these skills will dictate which weight-class of armour you’ll wear, but also which of the many available weapons you’ll wield.
The art direction is actually rather unique if you haven’t witnessed it yet. If you’re a fan of World of Warcraft’s Wrath of the Lich King expansion, this game will serve you a whole lot of Northrend armour.
But what does the Lords of the Fallen: Complete Edition offer new and returning players?
The Complete Edition contains:
- Ancient Labyrinth DLC
- Demonic Weapon Pack DLC
- Monk Decipher DLC
- Lion Heart Pack DLC
- The Foundation Boost DLC
- The Arcane Boost DLC
So even if you’ve experienced the game before, there’s something to keep you coming back.
You might know that Deck13 has refined their formula through the release of The Surge in 2017. Well, Lords of the Fallen represents their first foray into a fast-paced, stamina driven action game. If you’re looking for something to sink your teeth into, and a compelling gothic world to explore, Lords of the Fallen – Complete Edition has got your back.
I know I’m a sucker for that kind of gameplay and haven’t played through the DLC. Looks like it’s time for round two.
