Dragon Ball Super: 10 Fighters Chosen To Protect Universe 7

Prior to the Zamasu/Future Trunks arc, a small tournament took place between Universe 6 and Universe 7.

Back a few episodes before the entire Zamasu/Future Trunks arc, Goku, Vegeta and a couple of other fighters from the Universe 7 competed in a small tournament orchestrated between them and Universe 6. The result: Universe 7 won and they were granted the Super Dragon Balls. Beerus then wished for Earth (Universe 6) to be revived. Champa, the God of Destruction from Universe 6 was pleased – he now owes one to his brother Beerus.

Dragon Ball Super Tournament Arc

Once that tournament concluded, Omni King summoned Goku for a personal meet and greet. Then, it was agreed that Omni King would organize a tournament between all Universes.

In a recently leaked/revealed trailer, we see Beerus and the other Gods of Destruction, accompanied by their guardians – Omni King is also in the picture…in double for some reason. Additionally, a poster image was unveiled, showing a total of 10 fighters from Universe 7. The fighters are:

  • Goku
  • Vegeta
  • Buu
  • Krillin
  • Number 17
  • Number 18
  • Gohan
  • Tien
  • Piccolo
  • Master Roshi

In the list, it is important to mention that Trunks and Goten aren’t part of the roster. Does that mean that there is an age limit to participate? Also, Beerus also doesn’t figure, leaving us to believe that God of Destructions aren’t allowed to compete.

The stakes of this tournament are high. If a team loses, their respective Universe will be completely destroyed! Goku and Vegeta will definitely have the spotlight during the arc, but what about Gohan and the others? What new powers and levels are they able to reach? Can Gohan turn into Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan (Blue)? What new levels can Vegeta and Goku achieve? These are all questions aching to be answered!

My concern isn’t the fact that the boys aren’t participating, but rather why are Krillin, Tien, 17, 18 and Master Roshi part of the roster? How long will they have time to train for before participating in the tournament? This is getting exciting really fast!

Stay tuned as we dig deeper into the upcoming arc!
