You can find all sorts of tech at CES, but one of the biggest surprises were Logitech’s brand new G533 Over Ear Headphones.
When you look at the big picture, only a few companies have set the standard when it comes to gaming headphones. Companies like Razer, Corsair, SteelSeries and Turtle Beach have set standards and now, it appears Logitech is about to become as notorious with their latest model, the Logitech G533.
A quick look at the G533 unveils discrete multi-color LED lights and a slick black on black, mat on chrome color scheme. The company unveiled that the headphones will be exclusive to PC users, more specifically to Windows operating systems. Unlike its predecessor, the G933, the G533 model is a lot simpler. The device is powered by Pro-G, an audio solution that turns Logitech’s new over ear into an ideal solution both for gaming and listening to music.
Better Than Bluetooth
The Logitech G533 uses a USB wireless connection with a connector similar to any typical USB flash drive. Once connected, the G533 turns into a wireless headphone that utilizes Avnera wireless protocol. In casual terms, it means that the headphone works flawlessly, without interruption, within a 50 feet distance. At that distance, the Logitech G533 works better than any Bluetooth connected headset on the market.

The featured microphone comes with a bouton filter – the headphone is also equipped with standard control buttons.
Good headphones don’t come cheap. That said, the Logitech G533 model has been confirmed with a price tag of $149.99 USD. A decent price range for a great performing device. Logitech announced that the new addition to the G series will be available by the end of January 2017.
