It’s time for Destiny 2 to finally make its appearance. Activision has released some new information regarding the Destiny sequel we have all been waiting for. Keep your hopes up as Activision is still aiming a 2017 release. So, we should be expecting a Fall 2017 release.
Eurogamer have reported that Activision will focus on accommodating new and former players to join in on the sequel. Of course, the company reassures investors that this focus will deter the existing fanbase.
The first Destiny game was lacking in a few areas, notably the narrative. This is an aspect which Destiny 2 will greatly improve this time around. Indeed, it is the team that worked on the Taken King expansion that is leading the development behind Destiny 2.
“The cornerstone of that is a great cinematic story,” said Activision’s Eric Hirshberg. “That’s been a real focus with a great cast of memorable, relatable characters, coupled with some very nice ways to make the game more accessible to a casual player, without losing anything that our core players love.
“We’ve made it more accessible to someone who just wants to have a great more casual first-person action experience.”
Bunjie is also getting help from a number of other studios to ensure the game meets the deadline. The goal is to bring in more players into the world of Destiny. What that means exactly remains to be seen. It could be rending the game more accessible for players to pick up and play or broadening the connection features the game
