The Nintendo Switch’s library is about to explode thanks to the new Rainway app that is currently in development. PC gamers may find this very attractive. This new application’s goal is to be able to stream PC games onto the Nintendo Switch directly. If this works, users will be able to enjoy a multitude of games from their PC onto the Nintendo platform. This is pretty surprising since it will be the first time a Nintendo console would be used in such a way.
Developer Andrew Sampson is the one behind this new Rainway app and he wishes to bring it over to the Nintendo Switch as well. Although no release time has been provided, there will be a beta happening on other devices starting next month.
“Rainway’s signature feature is that it’s available on any device with a web browser. You’ll simply visit, log in, and kick back with your favorite games. Native apps for Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and other platforms are being developed to provide an even more seamless experience”
To use the Rainway app, no additional hardware will be necessary and any platform with a GPU that supports DirectX 11 will be able to use it. more information can be found directly on the official website. For the Nintendo Switch, Rainway will be downloadable through the eShop upon release. Until then, stay tuned for more news on Rainway!
