During the live Nintendo Switch Presentation, Nintendo announced Splatoon 2.
Nintendo unveiled Splatoon 2 for the Nintendo Switch. The game will feature new weapons, such as the dual uzi and other main and special weapons. Also, you can dodge attacks, a first for the Splatoon series.
Compared to the first title, Splatoon 2 appears to be a lot faster…it is a lot more competitive that way. This will open more doors to strategies and, eventually, increase its notoriety in the eSports scene. Splatoon Producer Hisashi Nogami took the stage, costumed I might add, and confirmed that all of the special weapons are brand new. Additionally, there are new maps, so players will have to think about new ways to fool opponent and gain a healthy advantage.
As far as it goes about how you can play the game, Splatoon 2 will be pretty versatile. The choice is yours to make. You can use the joy-con controllers, as well as the pro controller when the Switch is docked or in Tabletop mode. In handheld mode, the gyro controllers will become available for you to aim your ink with. Splatoon will offer players the choice to either play against friends locally, or meet online.
Splatoon 2 is scheduled for launch this summer. Nintendo promises to bring more updates and content to the game post launch.
We are expecting Splatoon 2 to make a stronger impact in the eSports scene due to the new elements and competitive mechanics it features.
