EA announced on stage, during the Nintendo Switch Conference that FIFA will be available for the Switch
Ever since FIFA 96, the franchise was published on a Nintendo gaming platform. Whether it be a console or a handheld, only a few of this sport title skipped being on a Nintendo device. Today, EA was proud to go on stage and reveal that the Nintendo Switch will support and offer FIFA titles.
EA promises that with FIFA games being on Switch, players will have the power to play the game any way they see fit. This means that they won’t be limited to using a single controller; all of the options will be available for them. FIFA on the Nintendo Switch retains its credibility and will deliver a custom experience compared to other platforms.
“Today, we are extremely excited to announce that the world’s most popular sports game will be coming to the Nintendo Switch later this year. EA Sports FIFA on the Nintendo Switch will be the most immersive, social, authentic sports game ever created for Nintendo players. It will deliver the FIFA experience custom built for Nintendo Switch so you can play anywhere, play with anyone, and play how you want to play.”
“If you are at the park, at a friends house, or on vacation, you can always stay connected to the biggest matches and you’ll be able to play and get on the pitch with your favorite players from teams from the worlds best leagues and iconic stadiums from around the world, all with the unmatched authenticity and depth that FIFA is known for.” – Patrick Söderlund, Executive Vice President at EA Worldwide Studios
FIFA is without a doubt a safe bet for the Nintendo Switch and it is also a good platform for EA to ship the series on. However, that said, details regarding which iteration(s) of the franchise will be on the Switch has yet to be determined. Is FIFA 17 ruled out? We can’t be certain just yet.
More information about FIFA on the Nintendo Switch will be shared during the upcoming months. Stay tuned for any updates!
