Nintendo has just announced the three different modes and approximate battery life for the Nintendo Switch.

To play games, you can play on the dock, on the TV, or removed it from the dock to play anywhere. The Switch was designed to be a home gaming system that gives you the choice to game at your pace. The play styles available are:
- TV Mode: Play games on the TV in typical video game style
- Tabletop Mode: Stand the Nintendo Switch console up with its kickstand and play using the Joy-Con. You can now play video games in front of a screen with others wherever you like, even away from the TV.
- Handheld Mode: Attach the Left and Right Joy-Con to the system. You can take it with you and play indoors, outdoors, or anywhere you like.
Shinya Takahashi revealed a clip where details regarding the battery life were unveiled. As Nintendo puts it, battery life will vary by game, but will go for up to 6 hours. In order to charge the system, you can plug it using a USB-C connection to charge faster. The Nintendo Switch is also equipped with a touch screen and supports local multiplayer.
Multiplayer mode, the local multiplayer to be exact, supports up to eight local players, giving you loads of options for playing with your friends.
