E3 2018: A Triple Release for Gears of War
Have you heard about the new Gears of War game? Well actually, it turns out that during the Microsoft press release, not one, not two, but three new Gears of War titles were unveiled.
A pretty emotional trailer, right? Featured in the clip is Kait Diaz, better known from Gears of War 4, who exchanges dialog with Marcus Fenix. As it turns out, she is wearing a necklace with the locust’s sign on it. After disagreeing with her officer, she turns her back on the squad to follow her instinct and solve her problem. From what we know, she has premonition dreams and that seems to be the center of the story.
Followed by other Gears, the trailer hints at an adventure where trust, forgiveness, and instinct will be at the core of the storyline. As for gameplay, we have yet to see enough to give us any idea as too what to expect, but we did see some new weapons. Hopefully, we will be able to share more soon.
POP Games featuring Gears of War
During the triple Gears of War release announcements, a new mobile game was unveiled in the works with Funko POP and the Gears of War series. Although there is little detail to be said about this next title, we should expect further details soon enough. On a personal note, I am speculating a three versus three mobile RTS game.
First comes Halo, now joins Gears
In 2009, Halo Wars, a critically acclaimed RTS spinoff of the Halo series made some noise. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the sequel. Today, Gears Tactics was unveiled as the upcoming RTS spinoff of the Gears of War series. However, unlike the other two previously mentioned games, Gears Tactics will be features for PC only.
