E3 2018: Microsoft Confirms Next Xbox Is In The Works
E3 2018 is already showering us with crazy headlines from the Xbox conference. Microsoft has teased about the successor to the Xbox One for a while now and we all are waiting to see when they will actually tell us of its existence for real. Today, on the Microsoft Xbox E3 conference stage, Phil Spencer has confirmed that they are deep in the early stages on the next Xbox console.
He went on to say that they are “deep into architecting the next Xbox consoles where we will once again deliver on our commitment to set the benchmark for console gaming.”
No further comment went on this new project, but he went on to present another project Microsoft is focused on delivering. The industry giant is hard at work developing a streaming platform where players will be able to play “console-quality” games on any device. This is basically a service that will compete directly Sony’ PlayStation Now.
This tendency might be giving us a hint on what the future of Xbox will look like where we will be able to play any of our games on any device. We have no further news on the current state of the new console or the new service. Perhaps this is something we will hear more on next E3. For now, we have a lot games announcements that can entertain us for a long time. For a full briefing, check out our conference recap. (Link in construction)
