E3 2018: Metro Exodus
Metro Exodus has returned to the E3 stage once again. After its initial reveal last year, we haven’t got much information regarding the world and the setting of the game.
In today’s Microsoft conference, we have been shown a brand gameplay trailer that shows off the game even more. You take the role of Artyom once more and the game takes place after the events of Metro Last Light’s “Redemption” ending. Anna makes a return to the series and she is now Artyom’s wife and we also caught a glimpse of the game’s main antagonist. He’s actually preaching the entire trailer.
Of course, there is still all the things you can expect from a Metro game: Mutated creatures, lots of firepower and a train. The game will take place across en entire year and you will travel to find a place in which to build a better life. This time around, there seems to be a bigger emphasis on story-telling which is a good upgrade.
It’s been since 2013 we have not gotten a new Metro game. It was about time a new one came knocking on our door. It seems that its developers are taking their sweet time in making this one as it the most ambitious Metro game to date. Metro Exodus will release on February 22nd 2019 on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 as well as PC.
